The jazz fiddle ‘wonder’ - Ben Holder - is back with his acclaimed show. Guaranteed to reach the parts of ’swing’ that other musicians rarely manage to do. From an early age, Ben took the classical route on violin, astounding teachers with his quick grasp of the instrument and his astonishing ability to play in-tune, even at grade one! He’s come a long way since then, but very much exploring the jazz tradition. His own band - the BHQ (Ben, guitarist Jez Cook, bassist Paul Jefferies and drummer Nick Millward) - create a show that has scorchingly fast swing at its heart, juxtaposition that with balladic pathos and groove and you have an astonishing show. If you’ve not seen Ben before, be prepared for a big surprise!
