‘7even’- the name given to the Andy Hooley’s exciting seven piece ensemble. The Septet features a positively explosive four part sax & trumpet front line, plus a driving rhythm section of piano, bass & drums. ‘7even’ draws on the sounds of Oliver Nelson’s ‘Blues and The Abstract Truth’ album, as well cool sounds from the golden age of Blue Note.
